Lift Pass Deals
Val d'Isère is one of the two resorts, along with its neighbour Tignes, which make up the Espace Killy ski area in France. The Espace Killy ranks alongside the Three Valleys and Paradiski as one of the very largest interlinked skiable domains in France, and the skiing here is spectacular. Modern, fast ski lifts combine with high quality grooming and comprehensive snow cannoning to provide world class skiing, and the resort of Val d’Isere is certainly world class.
Visitors to Val d'Isère and the Espace Killy can opt to buy a local area lift pass for Val d'Isère only, or a full area which then given access to the Tignes side of the terrain. Discounted lift passes are available for families so help with the costs of family skiing, and despite the admittedly high cost of lift passes here, the value for money remains superb for skiing of this calibre.
From Val d'Isère town centre there’s one swift gondola and two chairlifts in place to get skiers up the mountain with minimal queues and both of the resort’s major satellite villages, le Fornet and la Daille, have their own gondola lifts directly into their respective parts of the Val d'Isère valley. Although this is a spread-out resort, visitors are rarely very far from the nearest ski access point and for those that are, Val d’Isere’s public bus system is refreshingly simple, regular and helpful.
