Val d'Isère opened the winter tour of the BMW Polo Masters Tour 2012. The fourth edition of the tour descended on the French resort on the 11th January with the final being held on Saturday 14th January.
The competition was held in the evening at the foot of Bellevarde Face where four teams, each with three riders, competed at dusk on a snow covered illuminated arena to win the Barmes de l'Ours Trophy. The fast action game resembles hockey – the ball is never offside and always stays in the game. The Polo Masters offer a faster, more technical, real horse show.
At the end of the four days it was The Barmes de L’ours, whose riders were Claude Solarz, Matthew Delfosse, and Patrick Pailloles, who came out on top. Hotel Avenue Lodge were the runners up with Frojo and BMW coming third and fourth respectively, with the winners also winning flights to Turkey..
The tour then headed to Megeve on 20th – 22nd January, Courchevel 26th – 29th of January and will conclude in Saint Tropez/Gassin on 27th – 29th July.
