Prices Include: UK Flights  | Transfers | Accommodation Chalet Raton Laveur has 8 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and two en-suite showers. It is a 'fun' chalet and is ideal for large groups with; 2 lounges and an additional kitchen for afternoon tea plus a separate dining room. It is only a 5 or 6 minute walk from the nearest ski bus stop, and 9 or 10 minutes walk to the very centre of town.
The chalet is situated amongst the trees up a fairly steep road which gives it magnificent views over the town to the mountains beyond. This means a short sharp climb of about 200 metres at the end of the day - not too difficult a prospect if you have experienced the long climbs in places like Meribel, Verbier and Zermatt. For guests who do not wish to carry their skis, board, boots etc. at the end of the day, we can provide a storage room in chalet Persval which is adjacent to the bottom of the Solaise nursery slopes, about 15 minutes walk away from Raton Laveur.
Skiing from the Chalet:
In the morning, after a walk of approximately 300m, you can jump on the free ski bus. This takes you to either the Funicular at La Daille or the Bellevarde / Solaise express lifts. At the end of the day you do have to walk either back up from the bus stop or from the bottom of the Solaise slopes. Skis and boots can be stored in Chalet Persval, if you do not wish to walk up the hill in your ski boots. In the morning, we offer a mini bus service from the foot of the hill to Persval. Specific times will be posted in the chalet. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | Breakfast is provided every morning and consists of tea, coffee, fruit juice, porridge, muesli, cereal, yoghurts, plus bread, jams and honey. In addition, there will ba a variety of cooked items offered each day, eg: fried egg and sausages, scrambled egg with croissants, with a full English breakfast offered on one day per week.
On the chalet staff day off breakfast is a D.I.Y. affair, with guests being given the opportunity to cook their own breakfast!
Afternoon tea is prepared and left out for you to help yourself after your skiing or snowboarding, and consists of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bread, jams, etc., plus a homemade cake or biscuits or scones.
Dinner served on 6 nights a week, normally served around eight o'clock, is a delicious three course meal plus cheese accompanied by good quality house red and white wine with coffee and tea to finish.
For those guests perhaps wanting to purchase another wine for a special occasion, we have a short wine list available.
Let us know in advance if there are vegetarians or individuals with specific food allergies, and we will make sure that the menus are devised with these requirements in mind. |

The ground floor is linked to first floor by external steps only. Whilst every effort is made, it can be very difficult to keep these steps and pathways free of ice and snow.
